HOW I INTEND TO UTILIZE MY BLOG IN MY CLASSROOM
A blog can be a really fun and innovative tool for children and adults alike. Because of this I would use my blog as not just an educational tool but also a motivational tool.
As an educational tool I would ensure that my pupils would be able to access to a variety of games and activities that would aid in reinforcing concepts that are taught in class. Because the material provided on my blog would be interactive games and activities, unlike the regular seat work prepared and completed in class, my pupils would find them fun and interesting while learning in a more relaxing environment.
Also I would use my blog to highlight the work of my pupils e.g. the best written compositions, projects my class would have completed, etc. This would serve as a motivator for my pupils as all children love their work to be acknowledged.
Peaking interest and motivation in the classroom would help to ensure that objectives are more easily and readily achieved thus improving the quality of learning in the classroom.

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Angie. I'm already thinking of creating a new blog just for my students. I have all these great ideas, I'm just sad that they won't all be able to utilize it cause they don't all have internet access. Luckily, most do.
DeleteGreat ideas
ReplyDeleteI am loving the abstract look on your blog keep it up. This blog is very attractive and has a lot of interesting gadgets . Nice work Melinda. P.S.(How much do you know about butterflies) the do is missing the 'd'
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joann, I didn't even notice that missing 'D'. That's why it's always need to ask someone to edit your work: they see what you miss.
ReplyDeleteInteresting ideas Melinda, your students' interests will really be peaked by this blog...great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Grace. My idea was to keep them coming back for more to peak and motivate through exciting and interactive activities.
DeleteYou have the tool of technology within your hands, use it to the very best of your abilities for your students. The students with internet access will serve as a motivation to those without. Soon the parents of the others will see it necessary to keep their child/children abreast with the dynamics of the new and improved classroom. Keep on blogging, Pro blogger!
